dc.description.abstract Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) is emerged as a strategic approach for organizations seeking to improve environmental sustainability while enhancing overall performance (Dubois et al., 2004). Extensive literature exists on GSCM practices and organizational outcomes, relatively limited attention seems to be paid to employees’ perceptions toward GSCM and their role in influencing performance (Sellitto, M. 2018, Hejazi et al. 2023, Gadgil, 2024, Hariyani et al., 2024). In the field of GSCM, top management support is widely treated as an essential driver for facilitating resources and investment allocation into green practices. Organizational culture created by top management may affect environmental and socially responsible supply chain management (Chu et al., 2017). Employees, in any organization, play a critical role in implementing green initiatives, and their awareness, attitudes, and commitment significantly affect the success of such practices (Gupta et al., 2025, Graham, Cadden, & Treacy, 2023; Zhan, Chin, Yang, & Qi, 2024). Positive perception towards GSCM significantly enhances company's human related economic and operational performance by fostering ethical awareness and reflective moral attentiveness (Masa'deh et al., 2017, Mughal et al., 2023, Visamitanan et al., 2024). Hence previous studies emphasize the importance of employee's positive perception in successful implementation of GSCM. This paper synthesizes existing studies on GSCM, employees’ perception, and organizational performance with the objective of identifying major themes, theoretical perspectives, and research gaps. Using a thematic review approach, relevant studies published in peer-reviewed journals were analyzed. The review reveals that positive employee perceptions enhance the effective implementation of GSCM practices, leading to improved environmental, operational, and financial performance. The paper also identifies gaps in the literature, particularly in public sector organizations. Finally, a conceptual framework is proposed to guide future empirical research in the aforesaid context. en_US
