dc.description.abstract This study examines the challenges faced by the Apparel Industry in the Colombo District of Sri Lanka in implementing the Project Triple Constraints of scope, time, and cost during the current economic crisis. The Triple Constraints framework is essential for successful project management but becomes complicated in unstable economic conditions. The economic situation in Sri Lanka, marked by high inflation and currency devaluation, has worsened these challenges. The main goal of this study is to identify the specific difficulties in implementing the Triple Constraints due to the economic crisis in Sri Lanka. The study uses a qualitative approach to gain a deep understanding of these issues. One significant finding is that apparel companies are dealing with disrupted supply chains. Local economic instability causes delays and unpredictability in receiving necessary materials, making it difficult for companies to stick to planned project scopes and timelines. Fluctuating material costs are another significant challenge. Price volatility, driven by inflation and currency depreciation, makes budgeting difficult. This financial uncertainty leads to budget overruns and affects the financial health of the Apparel production. Labor shortages add to the problem. Economic difficulties have led to workforce reductions and migration, creating a lack of skilled labor. This shortage reduces productivity and quality, making it hard to meet project deadlines and maintain the quality of products. By addressing these challenges, this study highlights the need for the apparel industry in Colombo to adopt more flexible and adaptive management strategies. Successfully tackling these issues can help ensure better project management, promoting sustainability and growth despite economic challenges en_US
