dc.description.abstract This research explores the relationship between a Project Manager's Emotional intelligence (EI) and project success in the IT industry in the Western Province. It focuses on four dimensions of EI: self-awareness, self management, social awareness, and relationship management. The study aims to understand how these aspects of EI influence project outcomes. A sample of 100 IT professionals from the Western Province will be surveyed, with data analyzed using statistical methods to identify patterns and correlations. The research seeks to provide insights into the role of EI in the dynamic IT sector, offering practical implications for project management. By investigating the impact of a Project Manager's self-awareness, self- management, social awareness, and relationship management skills on project success, the study aims to uncover the subtle factors that drive successful project outcomes. The findings could guide organizations in enhancing EI among their project management teams, leading to better project performance. This study aligns with the increasing importance of soft skills in the professional world and aims to bridge the gap between emotional intelligence and project success in the IT industry of the Western Province en_US
